Enchanting lights and spirits aglow, Christmas magic fills the streets and sights of New Orleans. My sweet friend, Kate, shared a few of her favorite festive New Orleans spots to sip cocktails and admire the sparkling trimmings. Kate co-owns the lovely Grove Street Press with her cousin, Anna. Nestled on St. Joseph Street and filled with their beautifully designed prints and cards, their charming letterpress shop is a must-see when you're in the Big Easy.
The Windsor Court is absolutely lovely at Christmas time, with every arch trimmed with magnolia leaves and full of seasons' cheer! If you pop by the Windsor Court, be sure to go upstairs to the Polo Club Lounge for a Whistle Pig Sazerac or Pisco Kid.
Putting on the Ritz
We strolled over to the Ritz Carlton where a full gingerbread room was set up. The walls, fireplace, paintings, molding, etc. were all made of fine crafted gingerbread. Leave it to the Ritz. We sampled the Bourbon Milk Punch and the Manhattan Miracle while taking in some jazz-y Christmas jingles.
